Is the actual CAD file available for the printer head?
If the CAD file was available, I could easily modify the printer head to accept the Igus Drylin bearings. It shouldn't be hard to design it like the Z axis bearings are captured. It won't be a light press fit as is known in the machinery world, but it should be a nice interference fit.

Import X-carriage STL file into CAD program of your choice, modify, export as STL, profit. 😉
STL files of printed parts are on github.
Re: Is the actual CAD file available for the printer head?
I have the STL file, and imported it into Autocad Inventor 2017 and it won't let me make any changes. It's a course file meant for printing, not designing.

I don't know Autocad Inventor, but did you try to save it as Inventor native file format before any changes?
Or maybe you could use some online file converter.
Re: Is the actual CAD file available for the printer head?
If it's helpful to know, all of the original parts were designed in OpenSCAD, not a traditional CAD program. They are also available in the github repo.
