Initial Calibration X-Axis End Stop Not Found

I just finished building my printer and it was far less difficult than I thought it would be. But now, when I try running the self test, the printer is reporting that it is not finding the X-axis end stop. I've examined it and it's true, the carriage stops before the extruder assembly hits the X-axis end stop switch. I'm not sure what to adjust. Any help is appreciated.

There is probably something preventing the end-stop being reached. Check the cable bundle at the rear/look got anything hitting the frame or any other obstacle.

You should be able to see the part which is supposed to hit the end stop. Make sure it lines up properly.

I just upgraded on of my MK2's to the MK2S printed parts and had a similar issue. Mine was I didn't clip the zip tie good enough and it was hitting the frame. You can also run into this if you don't trim off enough of the excess belt.

What I discovered was that I needed to rewrap the cables from the extruder. Once I rewrapped them so that they were no wider than the piece of plastic that clasps that screw coming out of the extruder, the end stop was found without problems. I later discovered my frame wasn't quite square and in the process of squaring it up properly, I deduced that part of my problem may have been the Y-axis not being square. I also discovered there were a few places where I hadn't properly tightened down bolts, so it is a good idea to do a once over and make sure everything is tight before you do your self test.
