If You Haven't Build Your MK3 Yet, See Notes
Received my MK3 on Wednesday and put together the different parts up until I started working on "4. Z-axis assembly, Steps 5&6". Now this was a minor annoyance and I'm only half way through it, but then I thought "DON'T BEND THE BARS".
As we've seen some of the parts have tighter fits and it's harder to get the hardware inserted. In this case the Trapezoid nuts it's hard to get their M3n nut placed into where they need to be. ADD the DIFFICULTY of having the bars already built into the parts and you end up with added frustration.
Under "3. X-axis assembly" I've put a note recommending the process be moved to that location so it's easier to complete.
Reason for my post? There are notes posted to the online Build Manual under each Step in each Section. Read these before you complete the step becuase it might be beneficial.
I was going to go by the manual that was provided with the kit, but they won't have the notes.
Re: If You Haven't Build Your MK3 Yet, See Notes
Just after I posted the above comment while working the Z-axis assembly part in section 4, step 18 I broke the arm on the X-end-Motor Tensioner Assembly while tightening the M3x18 screw.
Be careful as it doesn't say how far to tighten. To me it didn't look like it was doing anything so I kept turning the screw.
Re: If You Haven't Build Your MK3 Yet, See Notes
QUESTION for the experts! What is the purpose of this step and how can you tell the difference before you BREAK IT!?... lol
3. X-axis assembly
Step 4 X-end-motor: tensioner assembly
4. Z-axis assembly
Step 18 Fine tuning the x-axis belt (new design)
The M3-18 screw with square nut are install under the third section and it's adjusted/tightened during step 18 of section four. I couldn't see this affecting tensioning of the X-axis motor at all.
What's the best way to complete this step?

Mine broke will fine tuning tension as well. Since this is my first 3D printer, I can't print a new part - so looking to order from PRUSA - just wondering if I should order anything else that might be vulnerable to breaking during assembly?
It would be helpful if the instructions provided better guidance on what "optimal tension" is.... It's a large part and I was surprised that it broke.

Scott, I ordered my part on Saturday and it shows being packed for shipment now. I was looking at the belt and pinching it ever half turn and I couldn't see a difference. I was hoping by now that someone would chime in.
Below is an email reply to me when I sent them a picture of the part showing them what I wanted in case I didn't get the name right. Their response shows I did use the right part name.
Make sure you pick the right color of the part during selection.
The shipping for just the part is $20 to the US so I added a few other things while I was at it. I wish I remembered to order the two parts below because I've read these get burned up when you have filament clogs or other issues.
MK3 Hotend Thermistor
MK3 Filament Sensor
EMAIL TO ME:
Hello David,
you can order the part here https://shop.prusa3d.com/en/3d-printer-parts/70-spare-plastic-part.html#/10-color-orange_printed_parts/30-spare_part-other_please_specify_in_order_note writing a note during checkout it is MK3 X-end-motor plastic part.
However did you receive it broken, or did it break during assembly or was there any other issue with it?
Best regards,
