Heating Bed Problem

Hi there,

I think it may be a wise idea to include nylon washers with the heating bed screws and nuts.

I was having an intermittent issue where my i3 would just shut down and reset the Rambo.

With multimeter in hand, I managed to trace the issue. One of the mounting washers in the corner of the heating bed had bitten through the paint into a main power track making the screw live. See the image below. You can see the exposed copper right on the edge of the track.

I have insulated the washer now and the problem has gone away.

Re: Heating Bed Problem

Hi,

Nice that you found the problem,
some people here had the same problem with washers that have sharp edges (they say mounting them with sharp edge up would not cause this).

Good thing that you posted problem with solution for others. 🙂
