Heatbed orientation
After printing for a couple weeks I just realized I may have my heatbed upside down. I have it oriented so the cables are under instead of them coming from the top and then under. Is this a problem? Does the orientation matter?
Re: Heatbed orientation
Hi Richard
The correct orientation is with the wires and heating element upwards and on the left (as viewed from the front).
With the heating elements at the bottom, the bed heating will be inefficient and may not reach the temperatures necessary for proper adhesion; I would therefore advise correcting this.

Re: Heatbed orientation
There is some confusion over this in the assembly instructions. In Section 7, Step 13, it shows the wires as coming out from beneath the Heatbed, yet in Section 8, step 14 they are shown coming from the top!
Of course if you have an original Prusa i3 Plus then the thermistor is already pre-fitted and the Heatbed can only go one way up! So on mine which is an original the wires come down out of the bottom of the Heatbed.
Re: Heatbed orientation
I realized this as well. Once I looked underneath and saw the tape and thermistor I was convinced I did indeed have it oriented correctly.
