Heatbed is not heating up
Hi guys,
I have a problem with the heatbed not heating up. I've found this post http://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-f23/heatbed-not-heating-again-t968.html and I was following the checks that were mentioned there. I have 12V on the screws on the connector, but I have 0V on the solder pads on the heatbed. The LED on the heatbed is not flashing. The sensor looks ok, it shows the room temperature.
Does anyone knows how can I solve this problem?
Re: Heatbed is not heating up
You either have a bad connection on the RAMBo or one (or both) of the cables are broken.
Use a DVM to check cable resistance.

Re: Heatbed is not heating up
I have fluctuating values bigger than zero no matter which pair of solder pad - cable end I choose. When I was checking the continuity, again no matter which pair of solder pad - cable end I choose I had beeps.

Ok, I soldered out the cable and tested it. One wire does not beep when I test the continuity. I'm off to get a new one.

I use speaker cable to replace that supplied, but ensure it has a larger cross-sectional area than the original.
You can also use the flexible silicone insulated cable which will help prevent the problem recurring.
