having alot of troubles. please help!

okay so i got it built and running but when it turned on, the temperature for the extruder wouldnt stop climbing (display showed it getting up to 500 degrees) while the bed wouldnt do anything. then after trying to fix it or figure out what the problem was, i tried turning it on and nothing worked, the green light inside the power supply was on but nothing else would power. my photos are too large to post on here so ill leave a link. somebody please help!

Hey Damien!
Do you think that the temperature was really 500'C ? Or do you think that it was just an error.
Do you have access to the multimeter? Can you measure voltage on cables going out of power supply?
When you power the printer up, does the green LED on electronics goes on and the yellow next to it blinks once? If so, can you try to connect to the printer with pronterface?

Cheers!

I am not sure if it really got to 500 degrees, I touched it to see if it was hot at all and it hurt but wasn't terrible, however it did seem to melt the sticker that is on the extruder so I am not sure. I do not have access to a multimeter or able to measure voltage but if absolutely necessary I will purchase something. no lights on the electronics light up at all

Check all fuses, IMHO you connected something wrong and now some fuse is KO.
