Failed calibration after fresh assembly [Fixed(ish) - Post 5/6]

Hey everyone,
I am trying to get my printer up and running. Built it slowly throughout the week. No problems other than a few nuances (I'm extremely OCD)
Got the nozzle set up at .1mm height above the heatbed and the PINDA probe at .9mm above the heatbed. Performed a self test, all good. Performed a z-calibration, all good. Performed a XYZ calibration, got passed the first 4 points without any issues and the nozzle clear of the bed, got past the next 9 points and then when the printer stopped after the ninth point, I got "XYZ calibration failed, please consult manual", I tried it a second and a third time, same result. I re-ran self test and z-calibration and it passed both, I re-ran XYZ and failed at the same spot.

I got on chat with customer service and Mona recommended I lower the probe, so I set the nozzle at .1mm above bed and PINDA at .8mm above bed. Passed self test, passed z-calibration, failed xyz calibration after the first 4 points three times in a row.

I checked that my X and Y axis are perpendicular and although they are not 100% perfect, it might be off by 1 degree. It's so slight that I can apply very little pressure to get it back square. I double checked that my z motors were aligned by setting the nozzle .1mm off the heat bed on the left side then right side and center. I tried the self test again and passed, z-calibration passed, failed XYZ calibration after initial 4 points.

I have added a link to my icloud drive with pictures and videos of what is happening. Any help is appreciated!

Re: Failed calibration after fresh assembly

(THIS HAS BEEN FIXED IN POST 4)

I tried calibrating again this morning and noticed that when performing z-Calibration the probe lies perfectly centered on the bottom left circle and too far left on the top right circle. They are aligned perfectly in the Y and I adjusted the xy skew so now its a perfect square.

I've added the pictures in the album above and below...

Re: Failed calibration after fresh assembly

I believe my X-axis belt is too tight.
While moving the axis from side to side, I can never reach the 250mm mark on the right, I would say I'm 3-4mm off and when coming back to zero all of the marks are off by 2mm or so and I hit my limit switch too early. When moving back to the right, I match 50 dead on, 100 is slightly off and by the time I get to 150 =, it's 2mm off again.

Re: Failed calibration after fresh assembly

I loosened the x-axis and it made the issue worse, I was getting misalignment by the 50mm marker so I figured the x axis was too loose even though it was really tight to start. I tightened it more than it was when I started and it worked, now my x-axis hits the marks perfectly as I move the axis from 0 through 250.

I re-did the self test, it passed. re-did the z-calibration and it passed. Went to do a XYZ calibration and it failed again, I totally thought that the x-axis was the issue but it was not. I am back to square one.

X and Y axis are perfectly perpendicular. X-axis hits every mark perfectly from 0-250mm and y-axis also hits the marks perfectly from 0-205mm. I aligned my Z-axis motors by hand at .1mm above the heatbed using a feeler gage and my PINDA probe at .7mm. I will try lowering the PINDA probe even further to .5mm and then work my way back up to 1mm in .1mm increments.

Is there any way for me to see which part of the calibration is failing if I plugged the USB to my PC? Like what it's expecting to see and what it's seeing?

Any help is appreciated

Re: Failed calibration after fresh assembly

I raised the Pinda probe to 1mm above the nozzle and now it actually got past the first 4 calibration points. It passed the first 4 points and did all 9 points before throwing the "XYZ calibration failed. Please consult the manual" error, so I think I'm headed in the right direction? I will try raising it .1mm more and see how the calibration goes.

Re: Failed calibration after fresh assembly

Tried redoing the calibration one more time just because with the PINDA 1mm above the nozzle and it passed!
"XYZ calibration all right. X/Y axes are slightly skewed. Good Job!"

I guess my probe was too low which is not mentioned anywhere. Hope this helps others!
