Extruder Motor Damper?

Hi all,
I've got my MK2S pretty quiet now and finally able to print ABS consistently but the extruder motor is quite loud and sing-songie. I see nothing about dampers for this particular NEMA 17 mount mod, do you guys feel this a bridge too far for a silent machine? I'll list my upgrades that have worked below.

Break fan to Noctua 40mm, most effective mod.
Astrosyn on X and Y axis motors. Surprisingly effective.
Z-Axis screw adjustment stops rattling against top brackets.
Idler bearings swapped to toothed, reduces rumble noise during long and fast movements.
Igus Drylin polymer bearings on X and Y, eliminates metal scraping sounds.
Prusa original damper feet in flex material, reduces vibration transmission to table.
16x16" (40x40cm) paving stone, further reduces noise transmission to table.
Cost so far $120 (102 €).

I've eaten what I saved from building the MK2S trying to make it quiet enough to cohabitate but that last motor vexes me.
Ideas, links, recriminations welcome.

Thanks for the link Aaron, but I am swayed by Peter's mic-drop (paraphrase "don't waste your time") so am leaning toward a mechanical damper of some kind. I might redesign the entire head and float hob assembly on bushings while installing a guide Teflon liner. She prints good so maybe an enclosure and call it done. 😉
