Extremely harsh noise from X axis stepper before every print
Hello,
after assembling my printer and calibrating it, I am very frightened by HUGE whirring noise the X axis stepper makes before each print. It sounds like when you calibrate Z and turn it a few more times after the stoppers.
Here is a video:
The endstop is working for sure, self test went fine, moving axis also stops on the end stop.

...The endstop is working for sure, ...
no, endstop isn't always detected at first contact.
the effect that your printer shows is not new.
check the cable harness and the zip ties at the extruder. it's most likely that something interferes with the frame which slightly hinders the x-axis carriage to reach the endstop switch.
by the way: when you move the x-axis through the settings menu it'll stop at 0.00 even if the endstop doesn't trigger.
-> just watched your video a second time:
check also the y-axis endstop (and if the endstop is still in place at the printed part !).
if the y-axis endstop doesn't trigger, it's most likely that the remainder of the belt (at the y-carriage belt holder) interferes with the motor pulleye... so that the whole part can't reach the endstop.
dem inscheniör is' nix zu schwör...

Okay, the X axis cable holder got twisted... Y end-stop works just fine before every print. 🙂 Fixed zip-tying on it and hope it will now twist again. Anything I could do to save it from happening other times?
Now just need to fight the Live-Z value. 😀
