Does the metal frame need to touch and click the y-stop? (y-assembly)
Just a quick question since i started to build today, but live chat seems to be unavailable all day (my luck).
In my case i finished the y axis, however i notice that the metal frame is not touching the button on the y-stop. It is right next to it.
The button is not even a half millimeter away from getting pressed by the 3d printed part... Is this normal?
Thanks!
Re: Does the metal frame need to touch and click the y-stop? (y-assembly)
I've done some measurements on my printer and this is what I found:
The Y-corner for the power supply (the one with the black plastic L) and the Y-motor mount should have a distance between them exactly 67mm for the endstop to be triggered. The endstop is triggered by the Y-belt holder.
and an 8 inch (200mm) or greater caliper is recommended.

Yes the y-belt holder is not touching the button on the y-stop. It misses it by a matter of a half milimeter.
What do i adjust for it to touch it?

I sent you a PM via the forums. Please check it and we can move forward from there.
