Build time?
I am trying decide between the kit and the assembled model. Not concerned much about the skills, just the time required.
Thanks, jay

Re: Build time?
Hi Jay
Depends on how competent you are and how quickly you want to build the printer.
The key to the build is not to rush and maybe even carry out the build over a few evenings.
There is nothing complex about the build, the most important thing being that you follow the manual exactly.
Best to read through the online manual a few times while you are waiting for the printer to arrive, then use the same manual for the build (the pictures are much better). Then if you get a hint of any problem, stop and ask.
Most of all, enjoy the build, then enjoy the printing.

P.S. If you build it yourself, you will be in a much better position to carry out any repairs - and there will be a few needed...

Peter,
Thanks for the help
Re: Build time?
Hi Jay,
My printer kit arrived in the mail on a Friday, and I printed my first tree frog before dinner that Sunday.
I used Friday evening to go through the boxes, read the manual, and get everything organized and ready to go for the build. Got started on the actual build on Saturday morning and built at a pretty leisurely pace. I had it finished around lunchtime on Sunday and spent the afternoon figuring out calibration.
The instructions are well written and illustrated. For the most part my build was uneventful, but I did make a couple of mistakes and had to backtrack and fix it before I moved on.
Re: Build time?
Thanks for all the replies and information. I appreciate the help I have received.
Question: Is there any reason I should purchase my printer directly on here OR on Amazon. Amazon does give me a cash back if I use their credit card.

Re: Build time?
Hi Jay
If the printer is available on Amazon, then buy there. Delivery should be cheaper and you will avoid the possibility of any customs charges.
It is the same printer from the same supplier: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015GDDXJA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=ox_sfl_cart_mbc_s1&serverToken=Obidos
Just make sure you don't get tempted by a cheap clone...
