bed leveling wobble during calibration
At various times I thought I've had the bed leveling correctly calibrated. However, one of the diagonals comes unseated frequently. When I try to adjust it back, it's just constant wobbling back and forth between those corners. I bought some 20mm screws to put in the front to try to keep it seated. This seems to have helped, but it still gives me trouble.
Also, the center of the bed always seems higher than the corners.
Re: bed leveling wobble during calibration
I also had problems with a corner getting unseated. I used a zip tie to secure the corner down.

That was my next idea. Are you still able to turn the thumbscrews or do you have to use a zip tie every time you adjust?
Re: bed leveling wobble during calibration
The zip tie doesn't have to be super tight, so I can still adjust while the tie is on.

Did you calibrate the printer while everything is preheated to temps?

Yes.
Re: bed leveling wobble during calibration
Still having a lot of problems with this. I ziptied the wobbling diagonal to keep them in place (which is very tricky). Then this morning I noticed that the nozzle had more space in the center, whereas earlier it had less. So I flipped the glass and it was back to "normal." Then, I got 2 more binder clips and that seemed to make it a little better.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been at this off and on for two weeks now and it's very frustrating.
Re: bed leveling wobble during calibration
Is the glass sheet completely flat? I have never seen warped glass though ...
If you take out the PCB completely out of the frame and put it on the flat surface does it still wobble (assuming all the bolts are same length as you mentioned you exchanged some)?
Ideally the plane is defined by three points (iamgine only three srews) but when I tried it wasn't stable enough. So we use four.
I am puzzled myself :-/ Check these things and let me know please
Re: bed leveling wobble during calibration
I removed the bed from the carrier, placed it on the table, and made sure all four corners had the original screws attached. The bed does not wobble on the table. Using a level, I measured the slope of the table and then placed it on the bed to measure the slope of the bed. Same measurement, so the bed doesn't lean incorrectly any particular way.
However, there is a small, but visible, gap between the middle of the bed and the middle of the level no matter where the level is placed (front to back, left to right, diagonally) .
I placed the glass on the bed and repeated the process. If I place the glass on one side, there is a gap between the middle of the bed and the middle of the level. If I flip the glass, the gaps now move to the sides of the bed.
So I can choose whether I want the center of the bed to be closer to the nozzle or further away than the corners. It's been a really frustrating couple of weeks trying to calibrate when all along it looks like my bed was warped.
Re: bed leveling wobble during calibration
I rebuilt the base of the machine, making sure it was a perfect rectangle, and the problem has been greatly reduced. I now think that this problem was somewhere between maybe-my-fault and definitely-my-fault. The support team sent me a replacement heat bed anyway and have been very helpful throughout the entire process.
