Always minimal warping in all pieces

Hello, I am testing everything but I always get warping, even minimal.

Tried 60º bed, start with 65, more pla temperature, less temperature...

I reach a point were adding more Z offset, starts adding an elephant foot to the pieces and still... warping.

In the attached photo you can see the warping. Super minimal but that is what I get in all pieces, small or big.

Sometimes in the first layer, when it starts doing perimeters, they don't stick, but when the printer starts doing the infill, it comes out PERFECT, so I feel like the perimeters are not that nice so they eventually warp (that is why I get so minimal warping). So skirt and permiters not that squished but infill is perfect.

What should I try next?

Increase adhesion by

  • using an adhesive product: glue stick or 3Dlac which is good for PLA. beware it can be tricky to remove large flat base when using 3Dlac.
without using an adhesive product: clean well with isopropanol and decrease a little "live adjust Z" (eg 50um).
    add brim

  • I just done a part with 3Dlac (no brim). And no warp at all on the flat base but hard to remove. Perhaps a good idea to print a razor scraper like this before: http://www.thingiverse.com/search/page:1?q=scraper&sa=

If your perimeters don't stick it could very well be that your calibration is off. The nozzle is printing too high from the bed. Lower it to squish the filament into the bed.

To prevent warping you can also use the brim feature of the slicer.

    I had also this issues.
Could only get rid of it using 3DLac

I use Innofil premium and with my Wanhao i3 v2 i never had warping with this material.
It alway stuck much better on that print bed so much i almost could not get it of.

So i think for me it was only that it didn't stick good enough.
(yes yes, i cleaned it many times with Aceton and others.....)
If anyone has other suggestions please let me know!
Because if prefer not to use the 3dLac

I see absolutely the same with PLA and sharp corners/edges. As already discussed it is much better if you clean the bed first or use some gluestick. Sometimes my prints are "fused" to the bed even without gluestick and I have to use a ridiculous amount of force to get it of and sometimes the simplest flattest prints warp heavily. ❓

Haven't tried them (yet) but perhaps these might help?

💡 with the correct live z-adjustment level and a clean pei sheet (use acetone after every 3 - 5 prints and isopropyl-alcohol before every print), there will be no more warping with pla as shown in the pictures.

@erik btw: i can see from your brim at your pictures that your live z adjustment level needs to be much more negative...

First, make sure your Z adjustment is perfect. Look at the first layer bead with a magnifying glass and make sure it is slightly squashed down onto the bed.

Next, use a brim. I use one that's 25 layers tall and it stopped the warping I was having.

    I hope this helps.
