After print glass fragments
After printing ABS, I hear the glass cracking when cooling and small fragments of glass comes off the glass some of the glass stick to the ABS. I never thought glass could do this. Any ides?
Head temperature is 255 C. Bed is 100 C.
I was trying to take a photo but it does not show up.
I thought it was a fluke the first time but it happen 3 times.
Re: After print glass fragments
Hi Steve
The cracking sound is quite normal; it usually happens when the plasic contracts and breaks away from the glass.
I have never known the glass to fracture during this process. Was it prepared properly? The layer of glue should prevent this sort of thing.
I guess I have always expected to break the glass; I usually find some way of breaking something, hence I have a couple of spare sheets of glass in my cabinet just in case...

Re: After print glass fragments
Yes I was using one thin coat of glue stick and ABS juice. I might try a thicker layer of glue. I thought this was uncommon. I have more glass coming so it will be trial and error till I get it right.
