Standard test/calibration for new filament brand/color
Can someone point me to a check list of things to do to make sure my filament profiles are correct? I've been using Prusa PLA for all my PLA but a few rolls definitely could use some tweaking (lower temp, maybe slower movement?)
I see some test towers on thingiverse that change the nozzle temp as it goes up. I imagine I could use that to get the proper temperature. And I've seen some instructions on setting the extruder steps/mm ( https://mattshub.com/2017/04/19/extruder-calibration/ ).
Anything else I need to check?

Just want to chime in and say I have the same questions. 😛 I printed a calibration cube and temp tower for a new roll but don't notice much difference other than my prints are a bit more stringy and the first layer is a bit more smooth. I don't know wha either of those things mean though.
