Slic3r Supports on Build Plate only
Hello,
Prusa slic3r edition will not let me only place supports only on the build plate. When I tell check off the box next to "support on build plate only", it doesn't place any supports at all, even where it looks like there should be support.
Is anyone else having this problem? Help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Check some of the other settings like overhang angle or extra inflation distance (something like that) and see if changing helps. I think setting the inflation one to zero changes somethings.
Re: Slic3r Supports on Build Plate only
I have the same problem. If the "Support from the build plate" option gets set many critical support structures don't get created. It seems Slic3r gets really messed up because the skirt does not get drawn correctly also. Anyone found a solution? (FYI, the new PrusaControl software has the exact same problem)
Re: Slic3r Supports on Build Plate only
If you guys have an issue with the Slic3r supports, please provide an issue through the github issue tracker.
https://github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r/issues
Please provide a screenshot, an STL file, a config.ini file (generated by menu file->export config) and possibly the exported G-code. Only if I have enough information, I will be able to fix the issue.
You may also check the existing issues in the issue tracker, maybe the issue you are experiencing has already been reported. In this case it is best to extend the existing issue.
Thank you,
Vojtech
