Slic3r acting weird compared to Prusa Control
I already made a topic about this issue with 0.35mm printing, thinking its a hardware issue. Here https://shop.prusa3d.com/forum/original-prusa-i3-mk2-multi-material-f26/under-extrusion-problem--t6689.html See the image to see the issue. First layer was fine but then the second layer was not squished enough and skipping (extruder making clicking noise).
But after further investigation I'm confused and thinking Slic3r is to blame. I always print in 0.35, as I build boxes for electrical parts.
I thought it was a nozzle problem, the extruder was skipping on the fillament, making a clicking noise. - On 4 mm nozzle in Slic3r.
Then I changed from 0.4 mm nozzle to 0.6 nozzle. While it did work then the results were not pleasing. - Still in Slic3r
Bear in mind I was still setting everything up after upgrading to Multi Material, I never made a finished print at all till now.
I then switched back to 0.4 mm nozzle and tried Prusa control. It printed perfectly! On a 0.4 mm nozzle at 0.35 mm height. No idea why I had those issues.
I then tried Slic3r again. This time with multimaterial PETG and Flex, and not changing anything from before. The first layer of PETG was completely squished. I then just gave up on Slic3r and am going to try a print in Prusa Control again.
What am I missing here. Are the settings somehow completely FUBAR in slicer? Maybe try reinstall it? I am using the MM version of Slic3r.
Re: Slic3r acting weird compared to Prusa Control
The squished part was my mistake.
Main issue now is just why does it skip and underextrude on Slic3r and not in Prusa Control generated gcode.

Ok. Managed to figure it out. Everything but one setting was set to 0.45 in the advanced tab. I put it all to 0 and then it printed great.
Go figure
