Settings for printing Laywood on Prusa MK2
Hi Folks!
A friend gave me a roll of laywood Filament as he could not get any good results on his printer. Does anybody have experience with laywood on the MK2 to save me some Trial and error with clogged nozzles?
I use the original .4mm nozzle and Simplify3D as My favourite slicer.
Thanks
Hartmut

Same here. I get oozing and filaments sticking out of the parts at any temperature. Completely unusable.

I used a spool of similar some time ago. PLA settings, but lower temps, less retraction and Z-lift only if essential.
Still comes out a little stringy, but that's easy enough to get rid of with a stiff brush.

It's got an incredibly versatile range in temperatures for print. This is to allow for the grain effect as you raise and lower the nozzle temp.
I found I could print between 185 and 235 easily.
It does under extrude though so I had to set Simplify 3D filament diameter of around 1.58.
