rough prints on first layer

i seem to have 2 issues when printing the first layer:
1) i get areas where it appears that the extruder is roughing up the fillament or
2) the filament is lifting off the heating board
but it is weird because it is not uniform, it seems to happen in different parts of the board.
i tried increasing z lift to 0.5 mm and i set only z lift to 0 and 0 (as that was default)
bed temp: 65 for first layer, extruder temp 210

can you look at my pics and give me so recommendations?

thanks

Re: rough prints on first layer

Hi Joseph

That is typical of over-extruded first layer.

There are a couple of things you need to do:

Run V2Calibration gcode file - you may have to raise the nozzle slightly.
Ensure that you are slicing models with a first layer height of 0.15mm.

I have been having some of the exact same issues, were you able to get the situation fixed? The live z adjust will not fix my problem but I have not tried setting the first layer height to .15- did this work for you as suggest in the first reply?

Re: rough prints on first layer

I believe the minimum supported first layer height is 0.15 mm
it is quite reasonable to use 0.2 or 0.3mm instead,
I don't use 0.15 first layer. never found the need YMMV
