Newbie seeks assistance!
Hi,
I am a newbie, so please be forgiving for what may seem like a mangled inquiry but I received my first 3D printer, a Prusa Mk2s, yesterday (assembled). it is up and running and I did the test print. All is good. I was prepping some .stl files and was converting them to g-code in the Prusa Slic3r program. This program presumably knows the settings for my printer. On the Slic3r screen the only settings shown for the extruded nozzle are .6 and .25mm. There is no option for the standard .4mm nozzle.
Secondly when I go to pick the filament I will click on the correct one but as soon as I get out of that menu a completely random filament populates to the settings.
The detailed settings for the extruded echo this .6 extruder nozzle, which is in the other screen capture.
I sent Prusa a message but haven’t heard back yet.
Can anyone help me straighten this out?
Thanks in advance.

1) You posted in this in the Multi-Material section, but it is about the MK2. You will get better help if you post to the most appropriate forum.
2) You have the settings incorrect for the MK2. It should be (your second photo)
a) Print Setting: (Depends on what you want, but I would stick to 0.1mm 0.15mm or 0.2mm until you know what you are doing. Don't try the linear advance 100ms until you are more advanced. The 0.35mm is very draft and not a great setting.
b) Filament: This is you filament type. I am assuming you are using PLA, so try "PRUSA PLA"
c) Printer: Since I doubt you have changed out your default printer nozzle from the 0.4mm to the 0.6mm, you should set this to "Original Prusa i3 MK2"

Re: Newbie seeks assistance!
Extrusion width does not mean your nozzle width. Leave it at 100% unless you are having problems.
From what I understand, extrusion width will squish out more plastic to make wider strokes on your paths. I'm not exactly sure how this is adjusted code wise, but I think it would have to adjust speed and filament flow settings to get a wider path since layer height should remain constant.
Pretty much, those are advanced settings, there's no reason to mess with them if you had a good test print.
And yeah, maybe a mod could move this topic to the correct location?
