Newbie question
Hello all,
I'm new to the 3D printing world. I got my the Prusa MK2S up and running about 3 weeks ago and the prints have been great. However, I have one print that seems to have an interesting problem. I've printed this Iris Box model that I found on Thingiverse.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1817180
Here is my setup.
Printer: Prusa MK2S
FW: 3.1.0
Slic3r Prusa Edition 1.38.6 Win64
Filament: Prusa PLA (Silver) 1.75mm
Print Settings: 0.20mm 100mms Linear Advance
Extruder Temp: first layer 215, other layers 210
Bed Temp: first layer 55, other layers 55
Here is the issue that I'm seeing. For some reason, I get these odd lines or defects down the side of the print. While watching during the middle of the print (lower red circle in the images below), I noticed that this is happening at the start/end of the circle path of the out layer. I asked one of my coworkers (who also has the same printer) to print this out to see if he has the same issue. His print looks great which suggests that it isn't an issue with the stl file. My thought is that this might be over-extrusion at the end of a layer. I've printed this 4 times now, and the defect locations are extremely repeatable. However, I can't confirm that the other defects seen in the pictures are at the start or end of a layer print. What are your thoughts on this?
