New guy with printing problem
Hey guys,
I'm new and happy owner of Prusa Mk2s printer 🙂
However, i did some first prints and everything went well until i tried to print bottle cap with nozzle, downloaded from Thingiverse.
I've try with new PrusaControl and Slic3r 1.35.5 and results are more or less the same. Prints are PLA, temperature 215/55.
Second one from the left is only one printed with support, rest of them are without.
What am i doing wrong and how to get it right?
Thank you! 🙂
Bojan
p.s.
Crumbles on the table...oh well, i had quick snack, but printing bed is clear! 🙂
Re: New guy with printing problem
Hi Bojan
You either need to support the underside or you could try filling in the hole in the centre with a single layer and then drill it out after.
The problem is caused by printing the perimeters for the bottom of the hole in air. Get rid of those perimeters on the first layer of the hole and you may be able to bridge the whole gap.

Re: New guy with printing problem
It will need support material I would lower the bed temp to say 40 and maybe lower the extruder temp a bit. I use Cura a lot as I like the interface and its easier (for me) to adjust things and see how long the print will take. The other thing is check the Z tuning this is critical to getting a good 1st layer sticking properly
Re: New guy with printing problem
Many thanks for the prompt reply.
I'll try what Peter said, but that opens few more 3D modeling questions.
Anyways, i'll do few more prints, check results and eventually post images.
Thanks! (Hvala Peter)
