Pleasure to assist. Just don't be afraid to ask. KISS can be quite complex, but for me, it produces the best prints. OK, I haven't tried Slic3r nor S3D. I have used Cura and Craftware though.

Referring to the bridges over letters, it shall be fixed in the upcoming Slicer 1.31 release.
The current Slic3r tries to bridge each letter separately. As it extends the bridged regions to achieve good anchoring of the bridges, these anchors reach into the neighboring bridging regions. My fix was to detect these collisions and bridge such close regions together.
