Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
I've just had a look in the shop and in all EU currencies (EUR/GBP/CZK/PLN) I have a preapplied discount on the price even though I didn't receive any email from Prusa with a code, so I it looks like they're applying it directly to the shop account.
Still not available for preorder though. 🙁
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
Indeed, I have the same thing in Euros but the price has increased by 10€ since the announcement...
And first shipments in January...
This is becoming a joke!
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
Well, looks like there will be a Mk2S to Mk3 upgrade

To me, ppl that expect a just announced product to be at their doorstep the day after are becoming a joke. 🙄
I just registered, and I don't see a discount on the upgrade. So maybe it's really done "in the backgound" when you're shopping with the right ordering history. I guess you guys will know, when you get emailed about it. What's the hurry? It's not available yet anyway and they seem to still figure stuff out. Like the MK2 -> MK3 full upgrade.
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
Nice !
This will be nearly a complete new printer 😮
But it answers a few question about the upgrades :
Magnetic MK52 Heatbed 24v with powder coated PEI spring steel print sheet
Bondtech extruder gears
Filament Sensor
P.I.N.D.A. 2 with thermistor
Noctua fan 24v
EINSY RAMBo motherboard with Trinamic 2130 drivers
505015 blower fan
PSU 24v
new dural frame with 1 cm more z height and 16 holes
E3D V6 Hotend assembly 24v
3030 extrusions
front and rear plate
300g EasyABS filament
The ugrade will result in a new printer and a second (old) one with some small missing parts (needed for the new one, for example the display, motors and bed-holder ? ).

But why have they put the new frame in the upgrade? This a bit useless...
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
Yepp, a new frame with only a few more holes 🙄

The joke is how this thing has been handled since the MK3 announcement.
I didn't expect to receive the upgrade kit the next day, but a January availability is kinda different from the November MK3 launch, and I'm pretty sure that there will be even more delay while the MK3 backorder list will be growing.
Moreover, the price change is neither a good thing.
And on top of all that, no direct communication at all.
Clearly, I won't order my update when the preorder launches, as I initially planned. I don't want to give them 150€ months before shipping as I did with my MK2S order, especially with Xmas gifts coming.
And if the voucher has an expire date, well, this will be another joke.

I'd assume it's because the old frame dosn't have the mounting holes in the correct places to secure the aluminium extrusions. Personally even though it looks interesting, I think I'd rather pay extra, get a full MK3 kit and have 2 printers rather than have one MK3 and lots of parts for an MK2S which I would probably never reuse.

The 3030 extrusions are useless too, I was including them in my mind when I was talking about the frame.
I think that the MK2/S users where more interested by the 24v electronics than the frame which won't be so much more rigid I think.
But they never asked us...
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
Thats it !
We only need the 2.5 upgrade + Einsy.

Personally, i wouldnt mind spending my money buying the Upgrade to a full mk3 from mk2s and reuse the existing parts to build a mk2s...My only problem are the motors really, since those are gonna be used on the mk3.
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
The preorders are open... But I'll wait.
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
If your MK2S was bought during the last 30 days before MK3 release (September 23, 2017), you will get a 100 USD discount.
Hmmm, this means the MK2 (without s) will be not discounted 😮 😈 😥

Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
FYI, the discount on the 2.5 upgrade is not time limited according to the chat support.
Re: Vouchers for the 2.5
Yes, the upgrade to 2.5, but there is no discount for the upgrade mk2 to mk3, only for mk2s to mk3.

That's why I would rather buy a full MK3 kit than upgrade the MK2S, the motors aren't even listed as spare parts in the shop, but I can imagine that if you'd manage to get them then the price of the upgrade for your old printer + the motors would be equal or more than the kit.
