Very small lines on "buddy" - Z axis issue?

I just put my MK3 together this weekend and WOW am I amazed at the quality of the prints so far - Benchy looks better than ever! I then printed "buddy" here and fron the top it looks extremely smooth - unless you enlarge/zoom in you can not even see the layers on the back of "buddy" - but on the sides (both sides) you can see a few layer issues (see attached picture). I wonder if this is a Z axis motion issue - although I didn't see any shifts/layer issues like this with benchy. I've now started a larger print to see if there are similar issues, but mean while I am looking for ideas to what could be wrong with my setup.

maybe belt loose, or toothed drive wheel loose on motor shaft or idler wheel tight

assuming Buddy was looking forward, these issues will probably be on the X axis
