Troubleshooting print quality issues

I had my printer for about 3 weeks now and for the most part the printer has been running great. That said I am noticing some surface issues on a few different types of prints and I don't even know where to start trouble shooting them. I am assuming its a cooling problem but I am just unsure where to even start in trying to fix this.

mostly cooling issues, it looks like. Try printing the benchy with the bow facing forward instead of to the right and that might improve. Also try a temperature tower and see if you can get away with lowering a few degrees.

Re: Troubleshooting print quality issues

I thought something like that maybe. I know that all those prints the troubled spots where facing the fan the back of the top picture one looks fine for the most part outside of some zits/blobs in random spots. The benchy and tree frog where the stock prints off the sd card that came with the printer using prusa's settings as well as there material they sent with the printer. I thought maybe something was installed wrong but I looked over everything I could think of and everything appears to be running properly. The only other thing I can think of is maybe the fan isn't working right and is creating this issue maybe?

Re: Troubleshooting print quality issues

These issues look identical to the initial over extrusion the MK3 had, and the included gcode files on the sdcard had issues as well.

Upgrade your printer firmware if you haven't already, and go to the Prusa Downloads page for updated sample models.

Re: Troubleshooting print quality issues

yea I got the newest firmware that was out before what was released in the last day or 2. But I think I did keep the original files on the SD card so I don't know how old those original ones are. The first picture which was the print I did last night which was that lunar city one had the same problem though. I am not sure how I am going to correct the problem on that one or future prints. Do you think its just the cooling duct that's flawed or could is be a setting itself I need to modify?

Working with support, updated firmware on printer to current as of today as well as drivers and slic3r pe. Resliced the benchy using slic3r and saw some improvement.IMG_0682[1].JPGIMG_0681[1].JPG
