Re: things needed to assemble the i3 MK3
I read that taps were handy to have but it doesn't seem like anyone here is cleaning threads prior to assembling. I wonder if Prusa will send an extra nozzle in lieu of the tools..
Re: things needed to assemble the i3 MK3
So i am in the middle of assembling mine and just some thoughts:
I would have love a Wrench for the 6 M3 Nyloc nuts used to strap the linear bearing to the Y-Carriage. turning them just with the needle nose pliers is a pain in the ass and an easy way to scratch the Y-Carriage.
A tapper would have come in handy for one of the threading on the frame but i managed with going in from the other side with the screw and working it a little bevor assembling.
I used a "ifixit" Hex2,5 screwdriver for most of the assembly. Some threads are rather long and it can get annoying doing all that with just an allen key.
Most Important: good large flat table with lots of free space on it!
All in all: you dont "need" anything else that is not supplied by Prusa. But some tools just make it alot easier 😉
