Shift detection not working?

I printed the Fuselage tail piece for the Qtrainer, the first one is OK, the second has a shift in the last few layers - I thought the MK3 was designed to prevent this from happening?

Re: Shift detection not working?

Do you have the latest firmware installed? Between 3.1.2 RC1 and 3.1.2 final they did some fixes regarding the crash detection. I've had mine (with the RC1) spontaneously rehome (without an actual crash) and restart at the wrong X offset after that. Haven't seen this happen since the firmware upgrade, but haven't always been with the printer the entire time either.

I did the firmware update 2 weeks ago to 3.1.2
I'm not sure if the current 3.1.2 is the same 3.1.2 but I can re-install it and see how it goes.
Thanks for the info !
I do love this printer just a few mysterious things to figure out the odd time.

On the down side - I've had to join Gummy Bears Anonymous !
