Replacement Print fan
Good Afternoon...
Yesterday my MK3's print fan stopped working. No spinny any more.. Ordering on from Prusa tends to be pricy because of the crazy shipping costs. Does anyone know of a resource in the US that has a similar 5v fan with RPM line.??
Re: Replacement Print fan
I have been searching all over for a 5015 5v 3 pin fan and cannot find one stateside. Regarding the shipping, you can add lots of items before the shipping increases, except filament. 1 spool - the shipping is the same as without ($19). Add a 2nd spool, shipping jumps to $53.

Re: Replacement Print fan
I haven't tried these but looks like they may work if you're willing to wait for the slow boat from China.

Those cost about the same as ordering one from Prusa though.
25$ delivered in 2-3 days. (including the fan)
And if you add a single spool of filament, the 20$ shipping does NOT GO UP.
I'm eyeballing ordering a Fan+1 spool of Prusa Orange PETG. (I broke like 3 tabs on my fan, and I'm just waiting for it to fail)
Hi, I'm Sean. I used to work on CNC machines.
I try to not make mistakes, but the decision is YOURS.
Please feel free to donate to my filament/maintance fund.
Re: Replacement Print fan
Why not ask Prusa for a new fan on your printer's warranty?
An improperly performed wiring may have caused a cable break.

Re: Replacement Print fan
I spent ages looking for something cheaper than the £13 fan at the link posted above.
Yesterday I found this which is £10 for 2 fans with the 3 pins and the right dimensions.
SWMBO and I have a "from new" factory built MK3 and a "new to us" factory built MK3 that are both running perfectly except for occasional issues with the print cooling fan on the second one. 2 fans for the price of 1 so I've ordered them for the spares box.
I will report back in 30 to 50 days as I'm planning on doing the R3 extruder upgrade on #2 after they are delivered.
Re: Replacement Print fan
The same day support agreed to send me a replacement bed thermistor, I separately ordered two spools of filament and then a bunch of spare parts to go along for the ride, including two more spare thermistors.
Prusa took advantage of my box going that way and put the warranty replacement in the same package.
Some parts are available in the USA on Amazon or eBay, but I had no success finding an exact match for the print cooling fan so I ordered two. I got a second spool holder, since when I first assembled the printer it looked like the part most likely to fail first. I also got a replacement door for the extruder idler, as there are scattered reports of that part failing. And I got an extra pair of wires for the heated bed, since that loop doesn't have a reinforcing rod like the X carriage.
Now I regret not getting some of the other Prusa-specific wear parts, like the PTFE tube in the extruder. The extruder cooling fan can be sourced locally.
