I have been following the instructions and making sure the elements move somewhat freely along the y and x axis, as with the z it is more difficult to accomplish. Also, I used some Mobil 1 to lube up the bearings, which resulted in much smoother rolling along the rails.

Looks entirely serviceable. 🙂 The big question is, once you get things together and the printer working well enough to print a replacement mount, is it going to bug you enough that you are willing to take the printer apart and redo all the leveling? Luckily the Y axis is the easiest on which to work.

That was entirely my train of thought; given I am a bit of a perfectionist, I shall. I do see your guys's point with regards to it slightly wobbling around.

I suffer from that problem as well. 🙂 Though it does seem to have been tempered a bit with age/experience... My solution is a second printer. 😀 That way, I can tinker on one an not be without the ability to print.

I can't seem to shake it off. The other day I made a bed frame that was slightly too wide and I had to disassemble it just to trim ~1' off every board. Then I was happy.
Yeah, I totally agree with the 2nd printer, but at the same time, I'd like to stay married.
