Random Print Fan Errors

I'm having an issue with my MK3 kind of out of the blue. I had a long print running over the weekend, and it went totally fine, but now when I print it pauses after some time with a FAN ERR.

Both fans are able to spin freely. Both fans also work for some time before the error shows up. Its never the same amount of time either. Sometimes its a few minutes, other times its an hour.

I actually just caught it failing, and confirmed that both fans are spinning correctly as the error is being triggered.

I'll attempt to re-seat all the connections on the RAMBO once this print finishes. I've gotten far enough that I'd rather just resume the printer every hour than start from scratch.

But any ideas as to the cause? I've probably logged 300+ printing hours since I built the printer, and this is the first major issue that I've had.

Edit: Looks like I was slightly wrong. The part cooling fan is indeed stopping, but it starts up again for a few seconds after the toolhead raises up

Not to answer my own post, but it actually appears that it was the fan cable. Upon disassembling the loom, I hooked the fan directly up to an external 5V power source to let it run.

I found that if I ran my hand up and down the cable, bending it as I went, the fan would cut in and out.

I'm contacting Prusa support right now.

Re: Random Print Fan Errors

I'm experiencing this issue was well. The last mistake was trusting that after I dissassembled, cleaned and inspected the fans I could undergo a 30 hour print. NOPE!!! Print destroyed after 20 hours. 👿 👿 👿

I've "contacted" Prusa support via IM chat, which was then directed to upload a video of the issue and send an email to [email protected]. My question is, did Prusa support contact you and did you get it resolved? I'm a bit upset with Prusa support being now 13 hours since my IM and email and NO contact.
