Printing on plain Steel without coating
Has anyone tried printing directly on a steel sheet without any kind of coating material (with any FDM printer)? I was thinking about cutting some spare steel sheets for my MK3 myself and leaving at least one surface uncovered. Might this make e.g. getting TPU off the sheet more viable or does nothing really stick onto steel?

Someone did report success printing on plain galvanised steel sheet.
why dont you give it a try and report back?

Re: Printing on plain Steel without coating
What thickness of sheet would you need?
I would love to get some extra sheets but they still won't sell them 🙁
Re: Printing on plain Steel without coating
Hi Joris,
the original sheet is about 1.1mm thick, including pei sheets.
so I guess 1mm would do...
