Mk3 MM Upgrade available

Only the 4 Colors Option:

Would have liked the 2 Color option for soluble Support, but maybe i get weak.

Re: Mk3 MM Upgrade available

It’s been up since mid October, I’ve ordered one. I believe they are planning on January.

I’ve been a bit nervous about it watching the MK2S MM jamming problems in the forum. Simple, rock solid reliability is one thing I’m hoping for in my mk3, and it appears going MM sacrifices some of that. Hopefully they learn from that and have a better design/instructions to avoid jamming in the hot end.

Re: Mk3 MM Upgrade available

I upgraded my rock solid MK2S to MM and initially I seriously considered removing it when I struggled with it. However, I persevered and I'd now say it's pretty much as rock solid as a standard MK2S. Don't worry about the people complaining, they're probably just more vocal than people like myself who are having very few issues.

I'm hoping the MK3MM sensors will handle loading the filaments properly since the biggest issue with the MM is loading the filaments correctly.

Re: Mk3 MM Upgrade available

Do the MM extruders use dual bondtech design of the the stock MK3 or it is a single drive gear + bearing?

My understanding is yes. 4 extruders, each with bondtech and filament sensor.

Yes, all gears are Bondtech + filament sensors for each filament.

Re: Mk3 MM Upgrade available

That’s awesome! I suspect though that it will be a while after I receive my printer, in February, before I can get approval for the expense from SWMBO.

Who needs approval........
Question of having a small black budget for toys. Doesn't your SO have his/her own secret shoe budget. I know for a fact that my wife does

Re: Mk3 MM Upgrade available

Multi Material was the big draw for me. Once I get my printer and the Multi Material units become more readily available I'm buying one.
