Mk3 kit, shipping box size?
My package arrived today. Yeah. Unfortunately at a drop-off location from which I have to pick it up from. Depending on package size this might be easier or harder for me.
Could one of you tell me how big (measurements) the shipping box for a mk3 kit is?
Thanks,
Dirk

Plus remember that the package is wrapped in black plastic wrap. I'm not sure if this is a standard for international shipping or not but it may help narrow it down.

Thanks for the input. I am off to get it.

How close was my estimate? 😀
Re: Mk3 kit, shipping box size?
I measured:
433 x 420 x 255 mm
(Just the cardboard box without the foil. Also, the box is a bit crumpled / bent outwards, so my measurements as not as precise/reliable as the numbers might indicate.)
I was a bit puzzled about what you used as a basis for your measurements (you marked your "one unit" on the back thingy, not sure what it is and how you were able to relate it to a real-world unit). Maybe there was a partially wrong assumption there?
But my decision based on your estimates was the right one. Thanks again.

It is based on the little picture of the heatbed. The heatbed lines mark 50, 100, 150, etc mm. The blue line with the white mark is supposed to be 200mm.
There are obviously projection errors in play, since the box is closer to the camera than the heatbed. Also I had to rescale the heatbed screenshot since I couldn't find a good place where it was shown using the topdown camera in large size, so I had to rescale a smaller image, and used the table as a guide for how much to resize. That is probably another large error factor.

you probably could have used Tom's hand as a reference so that you could compensate for the zoomed image of the heatbed.

Sure, but the main problem with the rescaling was mostly that I wasn't very precise. Using a hand could have worked as well, but I figured the edge of the table was much easier to see, and then I didn't have to hunt for a video frame that clearly showed a specific thing.
