Managed to get the lime green filament to work okay
So, i had some filament sensing issues with the lime green filament. To be expected i guess, although i had missed the notes in the manual.
Anyway, after a brief chat with friendly support, i am on my way with lime green.
I simply disabled the filament sensor (which switches off autoloading) and manually loaded the filament.
Support informed me that the techs. are working on a resolution to this via a firmware upgrade so all is good!
I thought i'd test it out by printing the Treefrog model included on the SD card.
It's currently printing live (below) but it's i've had some issues with filament collecting on the nozzle so I may have to tackle it live on the stream, eek! That'll be the first time though!!
What do you think, should i restart the print or let it run???
Re: Managed to get the lime green filament to work okay
Now that the live feed is off, here are the resulting videos.
Had a whole raft of issues during the print that I had to solve during the live feed.
There were some great comments and help on the live feed as I was working through issues.
Unfortunately YouTube doesn’t show those comments in the saved video.
Despite doing a fresh calibrations and cold pulling the filament, I’m experiencing lots of issues with the printer now.
I’m starting to wonder if it’s the filament more than the printer.
We’ll see.

I'm not familiar with YouTube streaming but if you switch to Twitch.TV it with save the live chat and the chat populates as if it was live when watching the VoD.

Cool! Think i can stream on both at the same time.
