LCD printing speed
What does the LCD printing speed mean?
If I print an item at speed=100% (default) and then change the speed to 200% (using the LCD control) it is only printing a bit faster, not a factor of two (maybe 20% faster time)?
So what does this speed percentage do and what does it mean?

It's supposed to multiply all the moves by the indicated percentage.
But the print might not be any faster if it's limited by something else. For example, if you have the printer in "Stealth" mode, it turns the acceleration way down, and the acceleration will limit how fast it actually prints.
I think there may also be an absolute speed limit programmed into the firmware, in which case there's a hard limit to how fast it will print. I'm not sure about this though.

The printer is running in Normal mode and the item is sliced using PrusaControl.
But if there is no significant change, what is the purpose?

The purpose is to let you fine tune things after a print has started. If it is printing great and you think you can speed it up it lets you. Equally, while most people talk about upping the speed if you start to see speed related errors you can slow it down. I do agree the % increase doesn't exactly mirror real world speed increase but as was mentioned that is do to other factors in the firmware and the slicer settings that effect real world speeds. That is also part of the reason most slices print time estimates are dubious at best. At the end of the day it is just another tool in your arsenal to get the best prints from your machine.

as mentioned, acceleration values might not allow the printer to reach its maximum speed as its ramping down again to make a direction change, or switches to another perimeter/infill.
its works better with larger parts which allow the printer to reach its maximum speed before it has to do a change in direction.
on smaller parts you might not see much difference. its like having a drag race in the driveway of your house.

Just finished this step: Use Live Adjust Z function and First Layer Calibration options to tweak the height of the nozzle.
And the instruction goes on to say: Decrease the printing speed – If the steps described above didn’t help, then try decreasing the printing speed.
My question where can I find how to carry this out is there a menu item for adjusting the speed of the printer as stated above?
