I never used a special cleaning filament yet, but as far as I can figure it out, it is mainly recommended to use it as a maintenance method, not primarily for declogging. They need at least a little flow to work.
Care has to be taken, there seem to be a lot of crap cleaning declared filaments out there.

The trick for those filaments seem to be:
1. wide span of extrudeable temperature (i.e. from 170-275°C) without decomposing
2. beeing highly adhesive

This way, the filament should pick up all the leftovers inside the nozzle and lead it towards the exit. If the clogging particle is larger than the nozzle diameter it would of course not work. The cold pull method could work on that, or at least a softer version of it (for example pulling the cleaning filament out at lets say 100°C) could do the trick.

In fact, I just did some research during writing these lines, and i might give it a try, although i'm not sure if it's necessary.

Hey guys, just an update. I've gotten my printer to print at 0.1mm and even lower layer heights now. The problem was just the heat-break, can't believe that a little irregularity would cause prints to fail due to it clogging at the tip of it. Now that its fixed, I off to printing more stuff!

**Do check the heat-break for machining inconsistency. I was just unlucky.

The benchy below was sliced at 0.1mm layer height and im quite satisfied with it despite having it not tuned in to this filament yet. Very minor stringing and slight wobble in the X, Y axis, can be rectified with tuned retracts and slower printing.

And lastly, shoutout to Douglas from Prusa Support team for diagnosing my issue and sending a replacement part swiftly!~

Too bad you can't show us pictures of what the problem really looked like. Happy to hear it works now though.

Hi Jay, nice to hear you can print now! Since i have a similar/same issue - Checking the Heat break would mean check it inside if there are irregularities, at the tip/bottom?

Haha i wish i could, but my camera cant take a picture of the inside, but i do see scratches on the inner shaft of the heat-break when shined with a bright led.

Hey Sebastian,

You got to check the inner shaft of the heat-break for like scratches/ sharp metal bits. A easy way to check is to put a piece of filament through and feel how smoothly it can go through the whole heat-break.
