Re: Extruder motor problem?
Thanks Leonardo,
I changed the concept for possible sensor cooling while you were posting your reply.
Might even give this extra 20mm fan a try.
This seems like it would work 😀
Did anyone else checked the temps on their sensor? Kinda curious to know if the extruder motor is the only one to blame for the sensor shorting out....
My extruder motor never got past 50ºC (at least that i've checked).... Would that temperature really be harmful to the sensor?
Re: Extruder motor problem?
50c on the motor isn't bad but lower is always better if it's easy to do. The air gap will help keep the heat away from the housing.
I have created a fan adapter for anyone to try to fit a 25mm x 25mm small cooling fan.

Re: Extruder motor problem?
Hi All,
This designed part might not fit onto the MK3 and still allow the X-Axis to home properly.

Seeing how I don't have my MK3 yet to use as a model I had to reference videos and pictures.
Sorry.
