Enclosure- supply and controller location
I am designing an enclosure for the Prusa i3 mk3 printer while I'm waiting for a Prusa kit.
Does it make sense to mount the electronics (power supply and controller modules) outside the enclosure? The heated bed will heat the air and also the electronics inside the enclosure. The question is whether the temperature could get too high which would damage the electronics. Heat can certainly shorten the life of electronic parts. Does anybody have experience with this?
If I end up separating the electronics outside the enclosure, how long could I make the wires which go to the power and controller? I expect I would have to extend them(?). Do I have to worry about voltage drop or noise getting into the system if I lengthen the wires?

Keep in mind that the power supply is a part that stabilizes the YZ center frame.
If you remove that support then replace it with something else to eliminate vibrations.

That is a good idea. Not a problem with a little bracing. I just hope I can lengthen all these cables.
