Bed heats up even when no heating requested

Hi everyone!

I stumbled upon this issue after having assembled my i3 MK3, and turning it on for the first time.
Basically the bed is heating up even when no heating is requested. This is also shown by the temperature reading from the thermistor.

This is also the reason the self test fails with the "Bed/Heater - Wiring error". If I reset the printer and start the self test again, it tries to wait for the temperatures to fall down, which never happens as the bed temp keeps rising until it hits MAXTEMP.
I checked the hotend and heated bed thermistors and power cables, but couldn't find anything odd.

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong here?

Thanks

Option 1) you have mis-wired your Einsy power and bed cables. They MUST be in the right place and right order. See http://manual.prusa3d.com/Guide/8.+Electronics+assembly/513?lang=en Step 23 onwards.

Option 2) you have corrupted firmware. Flash the latest firmware and do a full factory reset on the Einsy.

Option 3) your Einsy is faulty, contact Prusa support by the chat on the shop page.

Hope that helps

Well isn't this embarrassing... It seems I was so focused on getting the polarity of the wires right, that I missed to notice I connected the wires for the heated bed to one pair of PSU terminals => thereby causing the heated bed to be "always on".

Thanks a lot alfred.w, your Option 1 helped immediately!
