Are we there yet! Are we there yet! Are we there yet!!!!

Getting close to end of November. Are we still on track to start shipping MK3's. It has been radio silence since the announcement. Any good news or rumors. I do a search about once a week and nothing on the MK3 not even any sightings outside the MakerFair where it was announced.

Thanks

The intial wording was 'We EXPECT to start shipping in November" not "We WILL start shipping in November" My guess is they are waiting on parts and keepimg themselves busy packaging/printing.

Hopefully everything goes to their expectations and their suppliers get everything in on time.

Josef's latest blog post states "first units will be out before the end of November"

Waiting is hell!

Re: Are we there yet! Are we there yet! Are we there yet!!!!

There were some statements from the Prusa supporters floating around, stating that they'd start shipping last week of November.
I couldn't help myself and asked today and the answer was "we will start shipping sometimes within the next 2 weeks"
I take those statements as very positive signs that things are well on track - and I think there is a good chance they have been stockpiling components and just waiting for the last parts/documentation/software to start shipping in large numbers.

The statement that orders places "now" (i.e. within the last week or so) can be shipped in January was actually a real surprise - they must have massive production capacities.

Looking good! 😀

I´d guess since they use their print factory as a testing facility of sorts they already have the faster print speed/error recovery and quickswap beds going for them so the production for the printed parts should be a lot faster than on mk2/mmu launch

Usually manufactures ship to Beta customers first for testing of their EP (Engineering Prototypes) units. They then identify a group of experienced users to get the first shipments for further testing. After all this they then fill orders as they come in or may also have high value customers that get their instruments first. The high value customers maybe the YouTubers we all know and respectish. .
While all this is going on bugs are being worked out. If all go well it will launch on time.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one. Sometimes I check multiple times per day.

One of the PR Employees mentioned on the Facebook page that the company is in the process of having employees do the test assemblies with the manuals. I assume thats to ensure that customers will be capable of assembling the printer without any hickups.

The Comment from Jakub:
"That would only be an overly excited employee about the testing batches, sorry about that! Final approvals are now under way and testing assembly guides all around the company! 🙂 We are almost ready to ship at this point, need to collect data from this batch first and process it."

BTW, I check the forum and PR at least three times a day to see if there is any update. I am super excited about this!

I write the manuals for my company on a product line and we sorta do the same thing. Write a procedure and then see if people can do it. It can be a long process for complicated instruments. Usually takes me 3 months to get a draft written and we tweak the process over the lifetime of the product.

I say keep an eye on the 3D printing youtubers as some of them will get there's first. after that I would be expecting mine about 2 to 3 week latter.

Mk3 will be on the way shortly, I hope it will get at least as much love as the newest TEVO!(Nov 20th 01:44 EST(USA))

Guess that is about as direct from the top as it can get.

I heard he had to sneak the video out in a body cavity 😯 because of tight security of information leaking out.
Hopefully he didn't try to sneak out that coliseum the same way 😮
