Anybody know what is causing this?

Hi All,
Can anyone help diagnose the issue seen here?

I have been running into a whole raft of issues of late. For some reason, the printer is not printing very nicely at all now. I've tried using both the Printa Control and the Slicr Prusa edition that came with the download of the software.
I keep getting failed prints where when the printer starts to print on top of a support, the new part of the print falls off.
I thought i'd go back to something way more simple, as attached, and as you can see, it pretty terrible.

Am finding that there are low and high spots on my print bed from left to right when using the First Layer calibration function. I also can't get a consistent thickness on the final little square that it prints. As you can see from the pictures, the left hand side of the bed looks lower than the right even though it's all calibrated okay!

Re: Anybody know what is causing this?

Maybe there is something stuck between the print bed and the steel sheet?

Hi jonathon,
it looks as if your squish on the left side might be too great...

have you tried this method? see first post in thread

Nice suggestion, no, i've checked this multiple times. I've been through the first layer print so many times i've become quite the pro at cleaning the bed if nothing else! 😀

Thanks for the suggestion! So if i understand correctly, there is a way to adjust the nozzle height on the left so it's different to the relative height on the right? What's not clear to me is how that's done on the printer it's self.

Re: Anybody know what is causing this?

You calibrate the height in the left front corner (carefully).
The other points calibrate MK3 itself.

Thanks for the reply, is this done by downloading that V2 calibration G-CODE and running it and then following on screen prompts?

No, I was referring to Chapters 6.3.5 and 6.3.6 of the manual.

Or watch Prusas video here.

Re: Anybody know what is causing this?

I have a floatilla of MK3 printed benchy's now, all trying to work to a fix on this.

I tried this https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2720541

It did make the bow of the benchy better, but not the rear of the benchy, nor was I satisfied with the duct itself (it hangs very low and I feel like it would ruin any print with minor warping by snagging it) so I've put the original back on. I'm not happy with the current solutions hanging from one bolt - when the duct gets bigger/heavier, I think it needs more anchor points to avoid sagging issues.

I now know that it's a cooling issue and await someone making a great design, though 😎

Been through all of that twice now.
I was referring to the illusive v2 calibration.

Believe I am pretty much there now.
Think that a lot of it came down to firmware to be honest.
