I'll be honest, the SS rods have made no noticeable difference in my print quality. The main reason I changed was I had one original rod that was bent enough that it was irritating me when I watched it print.

I am very interested in the upgrade, it's quite neat! By any chance, do you have any prints you could show us to compare the upgraded lead screws with the threaded rod?

I'm glad you like it! I am extremely happy with it. I think the biggest reason it has led to an improvement in print quality (besides maybe the improved straightness) is the precision in the pitch of the threads, whereas with the regular threaded rods, which aren't designed for linear movement, you probably have inconsistencies in the pitch that lead to inconsistent layer heights.

I posted some before and after pictures in my original post. They are of a prism and a cylinder.

If you want to shoot me the gcode for a small model, I would be happy to print it out and post the picture.
