Recycling
Hi guys,
I am not sure this is the right forum for this but I couldn't figure out where to post this.
I've been messing about with 3d printers for over a year now... and this has lead to a lot of waste.
I have been collecting every scrap of plastic(separated by color) but I am still to find a way to recycle it.
Products like the Redetec Protocycler look nice but are a bit expensive(and not in production yet...).
How do you guys recycle?
P.S.
My country, Romania, is horrible at recycling anything. We have lots and lots of garbage 🙁 ...
Re: Recycling
Pretty much the same, I pick up every bit I can find and put it in a bin according to the plastic type. Right now devices like the filastruder are still too expensive (and I don't print enough yet) for me to justify buying one. Also note the resulting filament is apparently of lower quality (not sure if that means it's more brittle or there's some other aspect). Also note you need something to shred failed prints into small pellets.
Now, for empty spools, I thought I read somewhere some manufacturers offer the possibility to send them back to be re-used. Don't know how it works (do you send them back and get a discount voucher or something?) though.
Re: Recycling
One of my friends claims the spools for winding Disco cables on, Mic cables and Speaker cables etc...
the Plastic waste I collect and will consider using as solid fuel supplement in my enclosed fire...
