Homemade enclosure mk2
Hello
Wanted to share my homemade enclosure, took 20 minutes to build and works very good.
I am printing carbon fiber moulds for a hydrofoil and the moulds tends too be very long, front wing is about 500mm long. So the moulds are split up into 4 sections for each half and then joined with CA.
Even if I print in PLA I get some warping in the bottom, in this case the joining surface. The warping can be measured in mm and I have to sand the joining surfaces so they match.
So to counter this warping I built this makeshift enclosure for my printer from cardboard boxes and professional silver and blue tape.
With normal pla temperatures and 18 C room temperature I get 35 C in the box and if I put a fleece blanket over I get 37 C.
The warping is reduced to almost nothing, fantastic!
