Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
Hi!,
check my project to assure perpendicularity at the Y axis and the frame
Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
AAawww Nice!
I'm definitely going to print these. 😀
Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
That's great. Definitely I will use this next time to improve my MKS2 geometry.
What material is the sheet under the printer?

it's a play mats puzzle borrowed from my daughter. Just to reduce a little bit the vibrations, but i'm waiting for 2-3 cm concrete.

@Marco
I love this approach. I was frustrated with always getting incomplete x-y alignment during calibration but since you've come up with a great solution, I'd try one a little more risky and see how things go. Below is an attempt that was too bulky and didn't perform as planned.
The riff on your design is to be less cumbersome to my prior perpendicularity gusset corners think pictured above. The concern is lack of metal on metal contact and eventual bending ABS is prone to but as nut washer system is no better at achieving right angle frame-bed relationship, throwing more mass at the problem might work. Love your idea, will give it a shot!

Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
Hey Marco and gang,
I've finally installed my brace.
It helps but as the threaded rod design is inherent flexible, assembly instructions still needs be observed. I can tell you it is much easier to adjust alignment than stock because my design has a lower tension bracket meaning it won't let go of the frame while sliding back and forth.

Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
nice design 😎
Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
Really well made,
did you post your project on Thingiverse?

Do you have also the front Y axis that you have in the picture? i love this design
Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
Sure! I've placed little tags to show "comfort" features of the brace. Unfortunately there are 5 unique parts to print total of 6 in order to maximize bracing. I don't post on Thing, only on MyMiniFactory. This design is being tested, for those who want to redesign for their liking, please do. Those who would prefer this specific STL/STEP, I don't post things unless they are thoroughly tested. This design already has updates and corrections, but if you want, I can post now as a WIP (work-in-progress) part.

Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
hi brother,
can you share these parts with me?
Unfortunately I broke the little piece which holds the Y-axis end stop switch. Just right now I am printing new one. Unfortunately it will be necessary to dismantle the rod construction. Your parts will be helpful to put the parts back together repairing slight bevel I have on my printer now.
Re: Frame and Y axis perpendicular helper
Sorry guys, slipped my mind.
