Strange dots and holes vertically?
I'm new to 3D printing so I'm not familiar with the terms used, but on my recent parts I noticed strange little holes and dots poking out in a perfectly verticle line going up. I don't know what caused this and I'm open to suggestions and feedback to find out the issue.
Thanks again in advance and Have a Good Labor Day!
RE:
I'm new to 3D printing as well. Could that be over extrusion at the seam? To check this, you can look in the slicer at each layer and see if those dots correspond with the start and end of each perimeter. You can also do a test print with "Print Settings -> Layers and Perimeters -> Advanced -> Seam Position" set to "Random" to see if the dots show up in random positions instead of aligned like that. I had globs or dots or whatever you want to call them at the seam on my latest print. I was printing TPU and had increased "Filament Settings -> Filament -> Extrusion multiplier" slightly too much. Lowered it and the issue went away.
Edit: Holes might be under extrusion, raised dots would be over extrusion.
RE: Strange dots and holes vertically?
Those are almost certainly the seam locations.
