Spare Parts Printing

I'm getting ready to print a set of spare parts for my MK3S and was wondering if they can/should be printed with a .6 nozzle. The parts page talks about layer height and infill, but no mention of nozzle size. Will .6 give me enough resolution, of should I go back to .4?

TIA

I did, but the part I printed did not fit.  I have to sand it.

Probably best to stick to the recommendations from Prusa

I love to, but don't see a nozzle specification at https://www.prusa3d.com/prusa-i3-printable-parts/ . Can you point me to more explicit instructions? TIA.

RE: Spare Parts Printing

Hi Wild Bill,

try https://www.prusa3d.com/prusa-i3-printable-parts/

Ooops, you did... 🙄
Clipped info:-

RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS:

0.2 mm layer height, infill 20% GRID and material PETG.

We recommend using black filament to print all MK3S and MK2.5S extruder parts. If you want different color, you can use it, but the FS-lever part should be definitely dark (black) and the other parts surrounding the IR-Sensor as well. In case you use any lighter colour for the FS-lever it might not trigger the sensor.

Admittedly, there is no mention of Nozzle diameter, but it's a fair guess to assume 0.4mm as that is what they supply as standard.

these settings work for me, although I prefer Gyroid infill for structural parts...

regards Joan
