sloped first layer not sticking to supports (flex)

I've been having a lot of fun printing flex stuff. This is the first printer I've tried it with and everything came out really nice.

Except one thing... I'm trying to print a GoPro Session holder.

The part needs to either stick to the support underneath it, or maybe build more support material on the side that doesn't have any.

What happens is it will move just enough to catch the PINDA probe, which will pull it even further up. The probe is as high as I can get it with satisfactory printing, so I don't want to move it any further up. This is the only object I've printed (with flex or anything else) where stuff starts hitting the probe.

I think it's just a matter of support material and adhesion between the sloping part and the supports. But, I don't know much about this stuff...

Thanks for any ideas.

yikes, that is an absolute worst case scenario for part orientation. whats the model? I'd really suggest trying to print in a different direction, or perhaps printing it in halves.

I'm confused as to how its catching the probe though, there should be ~1mm clearance. you really don't want it sticking to the support, ideally it rests gently on top with as little contact as possible.

Thanks. The orientation is best off printing this way. I wish I could print it in halves but it's flex and I'm not sure how to join the halves.

The probe is just a hair less than 1 mm away from the build surface. The probe doesn't catch on other prints, just this one.

I will see if I can change the orientation. I'll ask the person that made the part if I can share it here.
